Meet,
Katie Christensen, CSW
Therapist
Hi, I’m Katie. I know that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when life has felt heavy for a long time. I hope to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported, not judged or rushed.
I have spent years working in residential treatment, supporting individuals and families through addiction, trauma, and deeply painful life experiences. That work shaped the way I approach therapy: with compassion, curiosity, and the belief that healing happens best in safe, connected relationships. Alongside addiction and trauma work, I also specialize in working with OCD and anxiety-related struggles.
I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Brainspotting, and I often integrate these approaches into therapy to help clients move beyond simply “thinking through” their pain. One of the deepest beliefs I hold is that many of us try to solve emotional wounds with logic, overthinking, or problem-solving, when what we truly need is space to emotionally process, feel, and heal. Symptoms like anxiety, compulsions, numbness, people-pleasing, or addiction often make sense when we understand the emotional experiences underneath them.
My Space Is Your Space
A calm, private setting where you can feel comfortable being yourself and doing the work that matters
My Approach
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded. I want therapy to feel like a place where you do not have to perform, hide parts of yourself, or have everything figured out.
Whether you are navigating trauma, OCD, addiction, relationship struggles, grief, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you better understand yourself and move toward a life that feels more connected, meaningful, and authentic.
